I am so excited to be starting this HealthEatsWithAllie blog and cannot wait to share all of my favorite recipes with you! First I want to tell you a little about myself.
I’m currently studying Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Over the past couple years fitness, nutrition and overall wellness has become such a huge passion of mine and I am SO excited to turn this passion into a career/lifestyle. Although I am unsure on exactly what I want to do with my major, there are so many career opportunities that come along with it and I am confident when the times comes I will find the perfect job for me- for now, I have to keep hitting the books!
I cannot wait to share with my healthy recipes and how eating healthy can not only be easy but so delicious! A lot of times when people think of “eating healthy” they think of a plate with chicken and broccoli. But for me, eating healthy is so much more and you will begin to see that eating healthy does not have to be boring and you can find alternatives to all your favorite “unhealthy” foods! I enjoy making eating healthy fun and want to help others find the same joy in eating healthy and reaching their fitness goals.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good bowl of ice cream and a juicy burger, but I also love eating meals that provide me with nutritional benefits and leave my body feeling good! Everything in moderation – that’s how I believe living a healthy, balanced lifestyle should be!
My overall “motto” for this blog is to EAT BETTER, NOT LESS. My recipes are filled with protein, complex carbs and healthy fats to fuel your body and give it the energy & love it deserves!
